Smith vs. Puello is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England, streaming live worldwide on DAZN. The 12-round headline attraction features undefeated British star Dalton “Thunder” Smith making the long-awaited first defense of his WBC World Super Lightweight Championship against dangerous Dominican contender and former two-time world champion Alberto “La Avispa” Puello. Originally slated for earlier in the year before an injury postponed the clash, Smith returns to his hometown arena looking to assert his dominance at 140 pounds against a crafty, battle-tested southpaw mandatory challenger.
The undercard brings high-octane domestic and international matchups to Sheffield, highlighted by a clash between rising prospect Giorgio Visioli and veteran former world title challenger Maxi Hughes for the vacant WBC International Silver lightweight title. Paired with an exciting super flyweight matchup featuring Shannon Ryan against Emma Dolan, the event sets the stage for a pivotal championship night in the ultra-competitive junior welterweight landscape.
